OPERATION NUPO
2015/2018

Operation Nupo is the first in a series of lightbulb sculptures. Nupo is a handcrafted wooden airplane placed inside a glass globe hosted on a wooden base. It’s solar-powered motor lets Nupo fly around as long as the sun is shining.

Airplane Nupo: turned & handcarved wood – beech, swedish whitebeam, walnut. wings: mahogny veneer. glue.
Base: recycled lightbulb, pine needles, cork, silver wire, solar cell, copper cables, miniature motor, glue. wood: cherry.
